Your boat and outboard operate in demanding and often punishing conditions—saltwater, moisture, beating sun, turbulent waves, and more. Be sure to use products that are formulated for the extremes of a marine environment.

Yamalube maintenance and care products are formulated to clean gently and provide long lasting protection against wear, tear, and corrosion.

DO IT YOURSELF

Powerhead/Seals
Protect performance by preventing corrosion and wear in your powerhead and seals.

Don’t be afraid to spray the entire powerhead liberally with Yamalube Yamashield. It gives your powerhead that just-detailed look, and helps prevent the effects of corrosion.

While you’re at it, treat the rubber seal between the cowling and the engine pan with a high-quality silicone spray, like Yamalube Silicone Protectant & Lubricant. This helps keep it supple and effective.
Below Deck
Out of sight can’t be out of mind on a boat. Stay on top of your bilge, batteries, and hull, keeping them clean and free of corrosion and marine growth.

Use marine-grade cleaners for both your bilge and battery terminals. Yamalube® Battery Terminal Cleaner & Protector removes corrosive build-up on battery terminal posts to help increase power output and extend battery life and Yamaclean Bilge Cleaner dissolves oil, grease, gasoline, and sludge, removing odor-causing elements without scrubbing.

You’ll also find commercially available anti-fouling paints, coatings, and materials to help keep your hull free of marine growth, but be sure to check local regulations before use.
Cowling
It’s easy for you to duck out of the sun, but your outboard is out there, even when the good times wrap up.

Protect your outboard from the elements when not in use or when trailering by using a custom-fit Yamaha engine cover. If your boat sits outside, a custom-fit boat cover is a worthwhile investment.
